<p>This compilation is a collection of local chronicles from the Song Dynasty to the Republic of China (including some local chronicles) about Meizhou Mazu, and the content is mostly excerpted. Judging from the 130 records recorded, since the Song Dynasty, many chronicles have clearly recorded that Mazu, the goddess of the sea, was born in Meizhou Island, Putian in the Song Dynasty, with the surname Lin, and these chronicles spanned from the Jiading period of the Southern Song Dynasty to the end of the Republic of China, covering more than 10 provinces, which is very representative. This shows that for more than 1,000 years, Mazu was born on Meizhou Island in Putian is not only the consensus of the academic community, but also common sense.</p>
